Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Education Policy and Management Studies (JEPAMS) undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

    1. Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the manuscript will first be evaluated by the editorial team through an initial review. This stage aims to assess the suitability of the manuscript in relation to the journal’s focus and scope, the similarity index (checked using Turnitin), the clarity and coherence of writing, the soundness of methodology, and the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s submission template and author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria will be returned to the author without external review.

    2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening will be forwarded to at least two anonymous reviewers under a double-blind peer review system, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as originality, scientific rigor, theoretical contribution, and clarity of presentation.

    3. Revision Process
Reviewer comments and recommendations will be communicated to the corresponding author for necessary revisions. Authors are expected to respond to reviewer feedback and submit the revised version within 10 days for minor revisions, or as otherwise specified by the editor. The revised manuscript will then be reassessed by the editorial team or, when necessary, by the original reviewers.

    4. Editorial Decision
Following the revision and evaluation process, the final decision—whether to accept, request further revision, or reject the manuscript—will be determined in an editorial board meeting based on the reviewers’ reports and the authors’ responses. The corresponding author will be notified of the decision by the Editor-in-Chief.

    5. Post-Acceptance Process
Accepted manuscripts will proceed to the copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing stages to ensure linguistic accuracy and publication quality. Once all editorial processes are completed, the article will be scheduled for online publication on the JEPAMS website.
