Screening For Plagiarism

Research in Science and Mathematics Education (RISEME) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. To ensure authenticity, all manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin prior to the peer review process. The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, properly cited direct quotations, and commonly used academic phrases.

Manuscripts that exceed the similarity threshold or show indications of unethical practices—such as plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unattributed use of another author’s work—will be immediately rejected or returned to the author for correction, depending on the severity of the issue. RISEME maintains strict oversight to preserve academic credibility and the integrity of the scholarly record, and it treats any form of academic misconduct as a serious offense.

By submitting a manuscript to RISEME, authors declare that their work is free from plagiarism and complies fully with established ethical standards in academic publishing.
