What is an Authorship Complaint?

An authorship complaint refers to any dispute regarding the inclusion, exclusion, order, or contribution of authors in a submitted or published manuscript.

  • Unauthorized submission

  • Manuscript title
  • Manuscript ID
  • Names of authors
  • Evidence
  • Detailed explanation

Investigation Process

  1. Editorial Office receives the complaint.
  2. Initial assessment by the Editor.
  3. Contact all authors.
  4. Review supporting evidence.
  5. Consult institutions if necessary.
  6. Editorial decision following COPE Guidelines.
