Research Misconduct Policy

Journal of Education Policy and Management Studies (JEPAMS) takes allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.

Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • fabrication or falsification of data;
  • plagiarism;
  • duplicate or redundant publication;
  • manipulation or inappropriate presentation of research data;
  • citation manipulation;
  • authorship misconduct;
  • undeclared conflicts of interest; and
  • other violations of research or publication integrity.

When an allegation is received, the Editor conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the allegation requires further investigation. Where necessary, the Editor may request an explanation or supporting evidence from the authors and/or contact the relevant institution or authority.

If misconduct is confirmed, JEPAMS may take appropriate editorial action, including rejection of the manuscript, correction of a published article, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.

The handling of research misconduct follows recognized publication-ethics principles, including relevant COPE guidelines and flowcharts.
